Excellent question!
A data source represents data flowing in to the Validio platform from an external service. We currently support many different types of sources. You can e.g. create a source from a table in a database, a cloud storage bucket, or a topic in Kafka.
A source has a canonical schema associated with it. A source can be used in datapoint and dataset pipelines, and it is quite common to mix them. You might for example configure alerts for distributional shifts as a dataset operation while running a real-time monitor on individual datapoints, both operating on the same source of data.
Absolutely.
As a data company, we believe strongly in security, as well as transparency and data-backed decision-making. At Validio, we understand the importance your organization places on the security of your data.
If there’s one thing we’ve learned, it’s that customers love deployment optionality, especially when it comes to sensitive data and data infrastructure technology. Hence Validio is deployed in your cloud infrastructure and the data will not leave it. Validio was designed from the ground up to process data securely and privately. We believe your data should live on data infrastructure that you control.
Validio is used by data teams in companies of all sizes, from early-stage startups to fast-growing global scaleups who each day push the boundaries of what they can do with data to increase their competitiveness and offer world-leading services and products.
All these companies share some common traits; data is at the heart of their business and they have modern cloud data infrastructure and engineering-led decision making.
Validio is perfect for modern data teams and data engineers that are data-driven and take the health of their data and proactivity towards unknown data failures seriously. If you deliver data products, leverage ML, utilize analytics tools, handle large volumes of data across multiple tools, and you lose money and trust when data doesn’t meet quality standards - then Validio is for you!
Validio is built cloud-first for the next generation of data stacks and set-ups. It deploys as a managed service in your Virtual Private Cloud/Cloud-prem or as SaaS*, but if your data is on-premise, you might want to look for more traditional solutions. Validio will soon be available on the GCP, AWS and Azure cloud marketplaces.
(*Validio Cloud, our fully managed SaaS offering, is currently deployed for selected enterprise customers. General availability for Validio Cloud will be announced at a later date. Contact us for more information.)
We add new integrations every 2 weeks. If you don't see the application in our integrations, contact us and we can prioritize it (or we might already be working on it).
Yes, we offer several payment methods. Either a monthly-to-month payment, either a one of annual payment for an annual commitment, or a monthly payment with an annual commitment.
Yes, we provide a dedicated onboarding service for the Team plan and a white-glove onboarding service for the Enterprise plan. In the latter, we will also provide consulting advice from field experts to help you master your data quality strategy. For the free community plan we offer chat and email support.
Not much. We take performance and throughput optimization seriously— e.g. most customers report less than a 1% increase in their cloud compute bill.
Good question! It’s pronounced the way it’s written [Validio] not [Valid-I-O]. The name is a wordplay between Valid Input and Output.
